Martin Skelter or (Marty) is the sane one and most grounded of the group hence why he is the straight man. It also would make sense that he is a rock earth type and kind of funny considering he bickers the most with Lucy if anyone.
He also has the hots for Paul and is very vocal about it, and since Paul has never admitted what way he swings, Marty is quite convinced he might have a chance. XD
He basically holds the group together, and keeps Jojo (for the most part) under control, he is also the band manager.
His references was Stephan Stills from Scott Pilgrim and Nikolaj Kaas the actor, in fact the neck and shirt came from from one of the references. Personally though I think he's channelling Shaun Spencer from Psych a little too much. XD
